I had just moved, most of my studio was still disassembled, and I was in a transitional period, easily influenced by anything and everything in my environment. I started a new project and recorded my work. At this point, this recording had no specific intension. I had considered using specific sounds as samples for other production. I had also considered making an album. I set it aside for later.
Later on, I came across my recording and converted it into digital media and set it aside once again. The necessary flow just wasn't hitting me and it felt overwhelming every time I tried to force it. So it was slowly forgotten over time.
Fast forward to present day. Recently I was talking to a friend when I came across this old recording. I listened to it again and the notion hit me to try working on it. After cleaning it up, I felt like the time was right to work on it. What resulted was a 16 track album that was primarily avant-garde and noise with subtle elements of ambient and idm.
Sometimes I like to release an album that tells a story. In this case the story is about a man who goes for a night out on the town as indicated by the album title. Each track details a moment during his excursion.
Thank you for taking time to listen to this album. I hope you will enjoy it. I spent a lot of time trying to make it sound as it should. I am already in the studio again, working on a new album. Come back soon…
